Lubricants with suspending agent

Extender is our Aka-Lube lubricants with the same suspending properties as suspensions.
Mix suspension and extender; the final mixture is permanently stable and consequently ensures reproducible results.
Based on our lubricants, we have formulated identical extenders with the same lubricating performance as our lubricants and the same suspending properties as our suspensions.
So you can mix suspensions and extenders at your option and obtain the same grinding/polishing effect as normally achieved by individually dosing suspension and lubricant. You can adjust according to experience gained instead of choosing a ready-mixed solution like our DiaDoublo.

Reproduceable preparation

Permanently suspended diamonds

Suspensions keep the abrasives suspended in a homogenous mixture. If the diamonds were to settle out, it would cause a variation in both concentration and size of the diamonds as the bottle is gradually used, causing a variance in polishing results. Both material removal rate and surface finish would vary because the diamonds would settle out on the bottom, starting with the heavy (larger) diamonds. The finished mix of Extender and suspension keeps the diamonds permanently suspended, insuring consistent polishing results every time.

Limited effects of overdosing

As a result of the lubricating film’s low viscosity, excessive fluid is quickly dispersed on the surface. This reduces the aquaplaning effect, and the disadvantage of overdosing is limited to an increased consumption.

Just like our diamond suspensions Extender is formulated with an eye to our environment. In fact it does not even contain a preservative. By carefully selecting the used components, we have managed to make at system that does not support the growth of bacteria.
Specifications

3 different ones for fine grinding; polishing and final polishing

We have developed three variants: Extender Green has the thinnest lubricating film and is used where removal is most important.
Extender Red has the thickest film for final polishing and is used where the finish is most important.
Extender Yellow ranges between the two and is used where Extender Green is too aggressive, e.g. for soft materials, or as a general Extender.
