Unique Auto Calibration - With a simple click,
calibration was never so easy! Calibration, the process of assigning a width to a pixel,
is now fully automated with Clemex’s unique Auto-Calibration feature. Using Clemex’s NIST
traceable micrometer, Vision PE 5.0 associates a different calibration setting for each
objective or camera.
Simply click on Calibration and follow the instructions when prompted. No need to stretch
a caliper over a micrometer. It’s easy and returns accurate, reproducible, and certified
results that can be validated anytime. Just one more feature that makes your
life easier!
Automatic Exposure - An easy way to adjust light
intensity. Clemex’s built-in Camera Control Interface is now easier than ever to use.
With our new Auto-Expose feature, no need to adjust the shutter speed slider manually when
calibrating each objective; choose a target intensity, click on Auto, and voila!
Once done, all settings are automatically saved and you never have to worry about manually
adjusting your lighting conditions! And now you can incorporate the Auto-Expose command
as an instruction in a Routine. Just one more feature that makes your life easier!
Virtual Joystick - Control the motorized stage with
your mouse! Clemex Vision PE 5.0’s Virtual Joystick does all the things a physical joystick
can do. Controlled through the Stage Window, the Virtual Joystick allows you to move the
stage in all directions, to focus manually or to trigger auto-focus events. The graphical
interface shows the X, Y, and Z positions in microns, the speed, the Z movement, and whether
you have an upright or inverted microscope.
With its intuitive user interface, the new Virtual Joystick is the perfect stage control solution.

Circular Stage Pattern - Clemex Vision PE 5.0 introduces the Elliptic Field Template, the easiest way to create circular stage patterns.
Perfect for Filter Analyses, this new template can also be used for elliptical samples. Customizable parameters allow you to determine the size of the pattern, its shape, its analysis sequence, and which portions of the circle or ellipse will be included in the Field Pattern.
Easy Automatic Object Separation -
There was a time when you needed a series of instructions to separate objects that were touching or slightly overlapping of one another. Now Clemex Vision PE 5.0 allows you to easily separate these compact binary objects in a single step.
User Rights Management - Create User Groups
Clemex Vision PE 5.0 allows the management of user rights, as well as overwrite protection
of all electronic documents produced by the Clemex Vision PE 5.0 imaging workstation. It
can be used for classifying users and what they are allowed to change. It also follows
the audit trails of critical interventions and allows electronic signatures. Traceability
is assured by saving all analysis settings, data, results, and images in the same
protected file. All of these security features are designed to conform to regulatory
requirements such as FDA 21 CFR part 11 ensuring data integrity.
Contrast Thresholding - Binarize translucide objects!
Clemex Vision 5.0 now allows you to effectively detect and binarize transparent or hard to distinguish objects, for exemple:
• when the contrast between the object and the background is weak and the background has the same intensity as the inside of the particle
• when the lighting is unequal on the whole image
• when the contour of the objects are of variable contrast intensity
• when objects are more or less transparent
The new Contrast Thresholding feature is a useful command when conventional thresholding is next to impossible.
Manual Separation (improved) - Cut touching particles easily!
The new Separate Manually feature simplifies the process of cutting touching particles. Generally used
in difficult image analysis cases where automatic separation is not satisfactory, this new instruction
prompts the user to draw separation lines over the source bitplane then separates the objects.

Viewing Backgrounds in the Stage Window - See where
the field of view is located on the stage!
This new feature allows you to have a visual representation of the stage in the Stage
Pattern Window. Intended for use with Clemex holders and Clemex micrometers, this user
friendly feature helps Clemex Vision PE 5.0 users see where the microscope objective is
pointing on the samples.
The Background feature, combined with the Virtual Joystick,
adds conviviality to this already impressive software.

Clemex Options - 3D Rendering & Measurements -
Using the focus motor, the stage controller and the new Advanced Multi-Layer Grab,
this new function renders 3D topography of a sample in as many as 256 layers.
New measurements for 3D topographic images include Solid Volume, Void Volume, Z
(Depth) Average, Minimum and Maximum values.
Clemex Options - Image Analysis with Robotic Control
The Clemex Maestroscope can process multiple samples with no operator intervention,
providing labs with valuable walk away time. Advanced microplate and slide screening
helps high throughput environments ensuring accurate measurements. input device systems
without a motorized focus, the "Manual Multi-layer grab" instruction generates a sharp
composite image based on multiple planes acquired.
Clemex Options - Hot Stage
Within Vision, a temperature profile can be created and the temperature can be read as a
measurement parameter. The user can acquire time sequences of images showing the evolution
of temperature related phenomena.
Clemex Options - Report Generator
The innovative new Report Generator tool uses fully customizable Microsoft Excel templates
to produce reports with dynamic links to Clemex Vision Lite or Vision PE. Fields in
custom reports are updated on the fly with results from standard or personalized image
analysis routines. Users can make use of the mathematical capabilities of Excel to
further manipulate their exported statistics in real time, ensuring that the presentation
of results comply with company or industry norms.
Clemex Options - Automated Microscope Control
The Clemex Automated Microscope Module is designed to be used with microscopes of various
brands. Components such as the motorized nosepiece, condenser, filter cubes, focus and
polarizer are controlled by software. This guarantees traceability of analysis results
since all settings are saved with the routine.
