Area Technical Sales Representative required

Aptex Ltd are now looking to recruit a recent graduate to a full time area technical sales representative position preferably to operate along the M4 corridor/South of England visting customers at their sites in this region.
Aptex Ltd is primarily a metallurgical/materials laboratory equipment & consumables supplier. We have a quality product portfolio and an excellent relationship with our suppliers. We regularly visit and receive updated information and new products from all the companies we represent.
Area Technical Sales Representative Job Description
The Area Technical Sales Representative is responsible for making sure sales targets are met within the designated sales territory allocated.
This person will develop a close relationship with all major accounts to grow business organically and find new business.
This person will be trained by Aptex to understand our products, market area, trends, opportunities and competitive activity.
Full training will be given.

Typical duties of the Area Technical Sales Representative include:
Finding new customers and constantly expanding the business.
Monitoring sales data and keeping up to date with current market trends and customer needs.
Developing consultative sales skills. Monitor sales for each account.
Identify and create a strong loyal relationship with all decision makers.
Ability to complete tasks on time essential.
Be aware of all competitive activities within major accounts.
Good disciplined use of CRM and administration.
Sales presentations for clients showing the success and credibility of the business and its products
Give pricing information to management and make recommendations.
Establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers if appropriate.
Create sales strategies

Starting salary £24-30k

Requirements for the role:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Full clean driving licence essential
Sales experience preferable not essential.
Interest in Science essential
Good technical background is desirable
Good presentation skills
A willingness to join a small team and be a team player going forward would be preferable
A degree in science related subject would be an advantage
Training will be given and you will be expected to occasionally attend meetings or training seminars outside the UK
